Gempa Sinabang Aceh 7.2 SR – West Sumatera is most often attack by an earthquake and perhaps you’re still remember gempa sumbar view month ago. People in Medan, Padang and Nias  feel this shocking earthquake, especially after going three aftershocks with a lower strength.

The first aftershock occurred at 05:26 am, with the power of 5.1 on the Richter scale. The second aftershock occurred two minutes later with a power of 5 SR, and the next earthquake measuring 5.2 at 05:34 pm SR.

Chile Earthquake – Massive 8.8 magnitude earthquake struck Chile early Saturday, collapsing buildings, killing at least 16 people and downing phone lines. CNN International reports that the earthquake has generated a Tsunami. Warnings have been issued for Chile and Peru. A tsunami watch has been issued for Ecuador, Colombia, Panama, Costa Rica and Antarctica.

The quake hit 200 miles (325 kilometers) southwest of the capital, Santiago, at a depth of 22 miles (35 kilometers) at 3:34 a.m. (0634 GMT; 1:34 a.m. EST), the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

The epicenter was just 70 miles (115 kilometers) from Concepcion, Chile’s second-largest city, where more than 200,000 people live along the Bio Bio river, and 60 miles from the ski town of Chillan, a gateway to Andean ski resorts that was destroyed in a 1939 earthquake.
